Centre Line
Marking

The reference spine every road and structure is built around. We transfer the alignment from the sanctioned drawing to the ground — road centre lines, internal layout rows and building grids — with offset pegs that survive the earthwork and keep construction honest.

What's included

What centre line marking covers

One alignment, marked once, correctly — so nothing downstream has to be broken and rebuilt.

  • Centre-line marking for roads, internal layout roads and plot rows
  • Building centre lines and column grid set-out
  • Offset and reference pegs placed clear of the excavation
  • Chainage marking with curve and bend points established
  • Alignment tied back to the sanctioned layout or DP drawing
  • Re-marking after earthwork, when the original pegs are gone
01

Development Plan roads

Municipal and DP corridors have to sit exactly where the plan puts them. We have marked 20+ DP corridors for the Municipal Corporation — see the CSMC programme.

02

Internal layout roads

A road pushed a metre off centre eats into plot frontages on one side. The centre line protects every plot the layout sanctioned.

03

Building set-out

Columns, footings and compound walls all reference the same grid. Getting the grid right is cheaper than moving concrete.

How the marking runs

Four steps, no surprises.

01

Drawing study

Alignment, chainage and curve data read off the sanctioned drawing.

02

Control set-up

Instrument set over a known reference and oriented to the layout.

03

Marking

Centre pegs, chainage marks and offsets driven and painted on the ground.

04

Handover note

Reference points and offsets recorded so the line can be recovered anytime.

Questions we get

Centre line marking and construction set-out — asked and answered.

Can you mark a centre line from an old sanctioned drawing?

Yes. We work from the sanctioned layout or DP plan, tie it to whatever reference points still exist on the ground, and where the drawing and the ground disagree we tell you before marking rather than after.

Will the marks survive earthwork?

The centre pegs will not always survive a JCB, which is why we place offset pegs clear of the cut and record reference points. The line can then be recovered at any stage without a fresh survey.

Do you set out buildings as well as roads?

Yes — building centre lines, column grids and compound walls, including re-checking the set-out after excavation and before footing concrete.

Do you travel outside Chh. Sambhajinagar for set-out?

Yes. Our teams work across Paithan, Gangapur, Vaijapur, Kannad, Jalna and Beed, and travel further across Maharashtra for layout and industrial work.

Send us the Gut or Survey number and what you need — we'll tell you the scope, the cost and the time it takes.
